Sveiki,
Hey Egle,
Following your email the specialist team that handles macro offences has carefully reviewed the offence applied to your child’s account. They have confirmed that macroing did indeed take place and that there is no evidence to suggest the account was hijacked at the time.
I fully appreciate the effort you are going to in order to have your child's account unbanned and can also appreciate your frustration at the account having been banned due to committing a macro offence. Players often go to these efforts in order to recover an account as they are firstly surprised at having been caught and further surprised at the level of action we decide to take against their account.
We are fully aware of prior attempts to have accounts unbanned, by claiming that another person was in control of the account at the time of the offence. It is for this reason that we include the following section in our Terms & Conditions, which all players agree to upon creating their account:
Your account
You agree to keep your password safe at all times and not to disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for the activities of all persons who use your password to gain access to your account.
Unfortunately if we were to unban your child's account this would not set a good example to the majority of our players who abide by our rules. This would also lead to all players banned for a macro offence claiming another person was responsible for the offence, in an attempt to have their account unbanned. As we have a zero tolerance policy regarding macros we are therefore unable to make exceptions to our rules in individual circumstances.
Your child is more than welcome to create a new account with which to continue their RuneScape adventure and start with a clean slate. However before doing so I would politely suggest they take some time to read our Rules, in order to ensure this type of situation does not occur again in the future.
Please be aware that a macro offence can be committed over a period of days and the date we ban an account is not necessarily the day that the offence itself was committed, it is normally the day we have reviewed all of the evidence collected up until that point.
Please be assured that we are able to distinguish between a player who has spent a large amount of time in-game and one who has committed a macro offence. Furthermore we take no delight in banning players who have committed a macro offence, we would much rather our players play within our rules so that they are free to continue their RuneScape adventure.
You are of course free to continue to mail us requesting for the ban to be lifted, however I’m sorry to say that sending further emails with this request will not result in the account being unbanned as the decision made regarding your child's account is final.
Please be aware that we are currently looking at alternative ways in which to punish players who are found guilty of a macro offence. Should an alternative option become available this will be communicated to our players via our homepage. I appreciate your frustration about the ban occurring and I am genuinely sorry, nobody seems to win in these situations and I wish we had a better alternative.
Kind regards,
Mod Carlos
